Our 2019 Schedule of Events

*Sunday, October 6  Dr. Tom Soltis from the Westmoreland County Community College will be back to speak about the 1918 Flu Pandemic.  Tom was with us in March but due to a snow storm, the attendance was low.  You don’t want to miss this exciting & informative presentation.

*Sunday, November 3 6:30 p.m. at the W.C.T.U. Building. Dr. Stephen Coleman will give a presentation about the Battle of Gettysburg based on his book “Discovering Gettysburg”. More than just a history of the battle, it also is a memoir and travelogue as it introduces the reader to the modern town of Gettysburg, and the influential characters (living and dead) that have left such a profound influence on our psyche.

When did Apollo stop the week long moonlanding celebration? I remember as a kid that was the highlight of the summer.

    1. It’s been a few years since we’ve had the week long carnival. Lack of volunteers and $$ sadly enough.
